Trimming the Swing

Sometimes the recorded videos have a little extra time at the beginning and end of the video that isn't really important for swing analysis.  So, Swing At'em includes a feature to let you trim the excess footage by placing markers at the beginning and ending of your video.  These trim boundaries are applied whenever you advance through the video and when you export video.  We suggest that users always trim their video before exporting it to save time and battery life.

The procedure for trimming is simple:

  1. Press the "Trim" button on the Main Screen Toolbar.  You'll see the Trim Toolbar appear at the bottom of the screen (as shown).
  2. Position your video at the beginning of the section that you want to keep.
  3. Press the "Trim Before" to mark the new beginning of the video.
  4. Position your video at the end of the section that you want to keep.
  5. Press the "Trim After" to mark the new ending of the video.
  6. Press the "Done" button to return to the Main Toolbar.
While the video is trimmed you can only play within the trimmed area.  The trim marks are saved with the swing so you don't have to trim it another time if you reload it.
If you ever decide that you want to recover the entire video and remove the trim marks, just go back into the Trim Toolbar and press "Undo Trim."
